The Team Cleared 40% of Its Backlog Without a Single New Hire

A Kuwaiti bank operating under a zero-new-hire mandate had to improve service anyway. Noblq took full ownership of its ServiceNow platform as a dedicated managed-services team, with Generative AI (GenAI) automating identity checks and approvals running natively in Microsoft Teams. The incident backlog fell 40%, with no new headcount.

The Challenge

Manual identity and HR checks slowed every resolution at the bank. IT and the business had no shared way to communicate, so work bounced back and forth between them. The incident backlog grew. All of it had to improve under a hard no-new-hire rule, with no option to simply add capacity. With hiring off the table, the bank's only path to better service was to get more from the team it already had. Every hour lost to a manual check or a slow handoff was an hour hiring could not buy back. Service quality was the thing paying for it.

What We Did

We took full ownership of the bank's ServiceNow platform as a dedicated managed-services team, covering administration, enhancements, integrations and support end to end. Then we used GenAI to automate the identity checks that had been done by hand, so resolution no longer waited on them. We brought ServiceNow into Microsoft Teams so updates and approvals happen where people already work, which closed the communication gap between IT and the business. We also kept the platform healthy with ongoing catalog tuning, reporting and proactive maintenance rather than reacting to problems after they surfaced.

The Solution

A dedicated managed-services team owns the bank's ServiceNow platform end to end. GenAI handles identity checks, and approvals and real-time updates run natively in Microsoft Teams. The catalog, reporting and maintenance are tuned continuously rather than left until something breaks.

The Outcome

The incident backlog is down 40% and cases resolve 30% faster, with zero new hires. Measured against the bank's no-new-hire model, that is about one support role's worth of work absorbed by the team it already had, $75K to $100K+ a year in salary and overhead it never had to spend. The bigger win is a level of service the bank could not have reached under a hiring freeze any other way. The hours that went into manual identity checks and back-and-forth handoffs now go into clearing work, not chasing it.

Growing incident volume, but headcount is frozen?

Noblq runs ServiceNow as a service, not a project. We take ownership of the platform, keep it healthy, and keep extending it as your business changes, with the same team after go-live as before it. You get a partner who knows the estate, not a handover document.
