Teams Ship Releases 70% Faster Without Loosening Change Control

A Singapore-based insurer with 5,000-plus employees coordinated every release by hand across separate change, deployment and security tools. We unified those workflows inside ServiceNow and integrated Octopus and Tufin, so an approved change triggers deployment automatically. Deployment cycles are down 70%, with full visibility and no loss of control.

The Challenge

Change management, deployment and security tools worked in isolation. Every release depended on coordinating separate systems by hand, which forced manual handoffs and limited visibility across environments. The insurer runs about 1,000 change and deployment activities a year, each carrying 1 to 1.5 hours of manual effort. Slower releases meant a slower response to the business, and manual handoffs created room for error exactly where accuracy mattered most. For an insurer with 5,000-plus employees, speeding up delivery could not weaken change control or security oversight. The workflow itself had to change, not the intent behind it.

What We Did

We integrated ServiceNow with Octopus and Tufin so change management, deployment and security ran as one workflow instead of three. That removed the manual coordination step where releases used to wait, and gave the insurer one place to see what was moving through which environment. We then automated deployment triggers from approved changes, with real-time status updates, so approval and release stopped being two separate acts. We kept compliance in the same workflow: end-to-end visibility into security policy enforcement, so audit readiness came out of the process rather than a later reconstruction.

The Solution

ServiceNow integrates directly with Octopus and Tufin. An approved change triggers its deployment automatically, status updates in real time, and security policy enforcement is visible end to end. Change control and audit readiness hold, and no one coordinates the handoff by hand.

The Outcome

Deployment cycles are 70% faster, average turnaround is 50% faster, and manual errors are down 40%. Nobody hand-coordinates a release across three systems any more, which puts 1,000 to 1,500 hours a year back with the engineers, an estimated $75K to $125K. Engineers who spent their time moving work between change, deployment and security tools now spend it on the releases themselves. The business gets a faster response without weaker oversight, and audit readiness is stronger than it was when everything ran through manual handoffs.

Change approval and deployment still living in separate systems?

Noblq runs ServiceNow as a service, not a project. We take ownership of the platform, keep it healthy, and keep extending it as your business changes, with the same team after go-live as before it. You get a partner who knows the estate, not a handover document.
